NCBA Divisions

Law Student Division | Membership in the Law Student Division is free for any law student enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school (or a law school seeking ABA accreditation) across the country. Law Student Division members, in addition to being eligible to join sections, receive access to NC Casemaker and free subscriptions to e-bar, the CLE Bulletin, Law Student Bulletin and North Carolina Lawyer. Law student members may attend most NCBA Foundation CLE program for only $25, including materials.

Paralegal Division | The Paralegal Division is open to qualified full-time paralegals, paralegal students and NCBA attorney members in North Carolina. PD members, in addition to being eligible to join all sections, receive access to NC Casemaker and free subscriptions to e-bar, the CLE Bulletin, NC Lawyer and Paralegal Perspectives, as well as a discount on NCBA Foundation CLE. Contact the NCBA for membership information and the PD application.

Senior Lawyers Division | The Senior Lawyers Division is open to all attorneys 55 and older, or who have practiced at least 25 years. Members meet in smaller groups at fun places to rekindle friendships. The division regularly sponsors trips.

Young Lawyers Division | All members of the NCBA who are under 36 and all lawyers within their first three years of practice regardless of age, are members of the Young Lawyers Division. Membership in the YLD is free and automatic upon membership in the North Carolina Bar Association.
