STATE COMPETITION FINALS

CONGRATULATIONS to NORTHWEST GUILFORD HIGH SCHOOL of Greensboro the winning team!

They will represent North Carolina at the National Finals held on April 27 - May 1, 2012 in Washington, D.C. The three-day competition will be held on the campus of George Mason University and in U.S. House of Representatives hearing rooms on Capitol Hill.


Final results:
First Place - Northwest Guilford High School, Greensboro
Second Place - Raleigh Charter High School, Raleigh

Unit Awards*:
UNIT ONE: Forest Hills High School, Marshville
UNIT TWO:  JP Knapp Early College, Currituck
UNIT THREE: North Hills Christian High School, Salisbury
UNIT FOUR: Camp Lejeune High School, Camp Lejeune
UNIT FIVE: Raleigh Charter High School, Raleigh

UNIT SIX: Northwest Guilford High School, Greensboro

*Awards are given to the panel of students who scored the highest on a unit. In accordance with the national competition, each school receives an award.

Raleigh Charter High School, Raleigh
Forest Hills High School, Marshville
Camp Lejeune High School, Camp Lejeune

We want to extend a CONGRATULATIONS to all the competing teams participating at the competition! 

A special Congratulations to Durant Road Elementary School of Raleigh for their participation as the showcasing team.  The fifth grade students presented their simulated hearings quite impressively!
