2010 North Carolina: A Catalyst for Change Video Project Winners

Students from North Hills Christian School swept the inaugural YouTube competition sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation and its Law-Related Advisory Committee, claiming first-place honors in the middle school and high school divisions.

The winning students and their teacher, Chris Price, were on hand to accept their honors on Friday, March 12, during an awards ceremony at the N.C. Bar Center in Cary. NCBA Past-President Charles Becton presented the awards and provided remarks at the ceremony. (icon_watchVideo.gifSee the inaugural, 2009-2010 YouTube Video Contest video.)

Student videographers were challenged to produce videos of three to five minutes and post them on YouTube, addressing the theme of “North Carolina: A Catalyst for a More Perfect Union.”

"What is it about our state," contest instructions stated, “that embodies the ideals of our Founding Fathers?

"What is it about our state that demonstrates liberty and justice for all? What is it about North Carolina that shows how far our nation has come, and serves as a catalyst for where our nation needs to go?"
