Courthouse Details:  A tour includes the Clerk's office and the district and superior courtrooms. Teachers should call a few weeks in advance of the trip. The Clerk prefers to find a time when court is not in session so that students can explore the courtroom. Alternatively, older students may prefer to come when court is in session. If this is the case, teachers should call further in advance to the Clerk can find the judge most amenable to a visit. When it is held, court is usually on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. With enough prior notice, groups may meet with a bailiff from the sheriff's office and have the chance to see jumpsuits, shackles, and a holding cell used for the accused.
